About Mrs. P...I have been a creative person all my life and enterpreneur.  Early on in my professional life, I started my own business--artists' representative.  I sold the artwork and photography of architectural illustrators, illustrators, graphic designers to graphic design firms; corporate marketing and advertising, advertising agencies and commercial real estate companies.  

I have always gravitated to the design, art and graphic arts.  I have a Master's Degree in Business Education (concentration on the graphic side of computers) from ECU; undergraduate degree in Social Work from UGA; licensed teacher in Business Education and Family and Consumer Science.  I taught Foods and Nutrition, Foods I & II, Introduction to Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Parenting, Interior Design, Multi-Media & Webpage Design, MS IT Academy, Keyboarding, Computer Applications.  

I worked in the Faculty Dining Hall in college at UGA...Catering and Bakery.  Independent Rep for Longaberger and Tastefully Simple.

I finally after many years of applying finally won a spot for the coveted ten chefs a year to the Biltmore House Internship program.  This finally was awarded to me in June, 2016.  Only ten per year are chosen...it was magical and so rewarding.

I have been an event planner and concentrated on the vintage arts (vintage tea parties, vintage candy bars, etc.).  I have always been complemented on my skills in planning parties and events.

I in 2016 started repurposing vintage items and selling them in booths at antique shops (Bee's Knees and Farmhouse Market in Indian Trail, NC).  Such  a fun experience, especially since my hobby is rifling through antiques in shops and old barns.

I love everything old--vintage lace, doilies, linens, depression glass, old dishes, tea cups, etc.  My latest passion is making all sorts of products using mason jars:  Cookies In A Jar, Soup Mixes, Baking Mixes, Vintage Candy,  Pancake Mixes, Seasoning Blends, Vintage Teas and Cocoas.

I sell my products primarily on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/14thStreetVintageArt, but also do Farmers' Markets, Town Festivals, Craft Fairs, Church Bazaars, etc. and some direct marketing of my products.

I love classic mason jars for gifts and also because afterwards you can use them for storage.  They are perfect for beans, rice and pasta so you can see what is in the jar.  I also use them to store candy and cupcake papers, baking chips, buttons, screws, etc.

I hope to become a notable blogger on many topics--food of course, organization, mindfulness, etc.

This will be my Second Act for my retirement.
